STOCKMANS MEMORIAL FOUNDATION

The legacy and heritage of our local community lives on, thanks to the Stockmen’s Memorial Foundation. Founded in 1980 by local ranchers, farmers and residents, the Foundation was created to honor and commemorate the livestock industry in the area. This non-profit association represents those who built the livestock industry and continue to contribute to its progress, encourages the appreciation and support of the sociological and economic value of the industry and consolidates historical and operational information about local families, history and other information.

We are proud to have the Stockmen’s Memorial Foundation and The Bert Sheppard Stockmen’s Foundation Library and Archives located here, which boasts over 13,000 books, 6,000 magazines and countless photos, videos and artifacts.
